Double Pitch Roller Chains

Double Pitch Roller Chain is equivalent to standard roller chains with “double the pitch”. They are designed with straight sidebars and are typically used in conveying applications. They are lighter and less expensive than the standard roller chains and are suitable for long center-distance applications.

Double Pitch Roller Chains have straight side bars to prevent wear as they drag along a conveyor bed. They can be made with oversized rollers acting as wheels to elevate the chain off its conveyor bed.

Their advantage is that the longer pitch allows transport rollers to be fitted, significantly reducing friction and tensile forces within the chain in many applications including conveyor technology, general engineering plant construction, agricultural machinery, and the food industry.
